自己紹介(Self introduction):

Introduce yourself, who you are, what you do(趣味), what you like (好きな飲み物?), greetings to oussepians etc. in 日本語 or English:
Hmmm, introductions....well, if you like oiled potatoes, a tennis-ball-firing-machine and isaacs hamster, I think we have something in common. Oh, and long walks to Izakaya, Investing JASSO in Karaoke Room Establishments and shaving patterns into your hair, again, we might be soul-mates!

Questions

Describe your best experience in Japan so far.
Hmmm, hard to say, there have been some real 'gems' of memories. But to speculate: perhaps discovering the joys of ノミオケ (nomihoudai karaoke); crashing the segregated せんとs on both the Wakayama and Nagano excursions; Riding the shinkansen those few precious times; or, getting drug searched in the back room of Kansai Airport at 6.30am on arriving back in Ol'Saka after my two month gettaway to SEAsia!

The best thing in OUSSEP?
The People! Japan is growing on me, and Osaka is starting to feel like home, but its all you guys who are making this year so memorable for me.

The most annoying thing in Japan?
Adapting to Confucianist concepts: shame; hazakashi-ness; reticence.

Your favorite japanese phrase or word?
ノミオケ!

Describe your worst experience in Japan so far
Taking that god-damned night bus between Osaka and Tokyo and never being able to get more than 30mins of consecutive sleep!

Life motto or other random stuff people remember you by
hmm, well, this part I wanna leave up to the imaginations of you all. I think my alcoholic-abilities and free-speaking/acting nature has created more than its fair share of memorable faux pas for evryone involved in OUSSEP. But maybe...: Nomimashou!

Describe your favorite place in Japan
Hmm, this one is hard, I'm sure to update this comment further as the year progresses, but I'm gonna say for now, my fav place is prolly the ramen shop with the big dragon, located on dotombori.

Your favorite kanji
hehe, how bout Okiru cuase it looks like a guy jumping outta bed with morning wood: 起

Will you visit Japan again after OUSSEP some day? When? For what reason?
Sure, why not. Well, who can see into the future (unless your fredu practicing some kinda finish-witch doctor voodoo-mumbo jumbo). But, um, if no better reason, how bout just to make sure my nihongo skills don't get too rusty!

What was your motivation to come to Japan / to join OUSSEP?
Japan: A girl. OUSSEP: 日本語 話しませんでした。

Describe your home-country in five words
Ice-Hockey, 'Horticulture' (*hehe*), Sushi, Socialism, Undiscovered.

You know you've been in Japan long enough if.....
The ear-shattering 'いらしゃいませ’ you get when you walk into any shop doesn't make you jump anymore; You leave your eggs out at room temperature; You can eat rice without adding soya-sauce; You answer everything (even english) with a ’はい!’; You love going to カラオケ; paying 10 dollars for a bowl of ramen is normal; You start naming the ごきぶり (cockroaches?) you share a room with; taxi doors that open for you are no longer "KRAZY!"; you actually start to enjoy anko; getting naked with 10 other guys in the public bath is 'the cool thing to do'!

Which part of Tokyo did you find the most fascinating/fun/tanoshii/genki? Why?
Shibuya、'cause there was so much life, lights and karaoke rooms with a great view overlooking the city.

Which part of Osaka did you find the most fascinating/fun/tanoshii/genki? Why?
No doubt Shinsaibashi/Amemura. Cafe Absinthe and Karaoke Rooms are my home away from Suita!

Which part of Kyoto did you find the most fascinating/fun/tanoshii/genki? Why?
Gion was really cool to chill in, and the main strip from there to JR Kyoto Eki is a great walk too! Although Ryoanji Rook Garden was beautiful and amazing too!

Which part of Antonio did you find the most fascinating/fun/tanoshii/genki? Why?
Trying to navigate all that hair which he grows down below in substitute to up above ;)

Lets just imagine that the world is going to end tomorrow, and you had only ¥1000 in your pocket..what would you buy?
Easy answer: A night of フリタイム @ Karaoke Room!

Where were you on the 10th of March [during springbreak]?
On the 10th? I was stationed just outside of Da'Nang in Nam baby! lol, its funny cause its true! *What's with this question anyway?*

Always has an open door. Entertainer. Prefers politics to statistics and talking to calculating

I've always wanted to visit Canada. Ironic that I've visited England and lived in Japan, but I've never been to Canada or Mexico. Oh, and I love the hair. All you need to do is dye it pink. ^_~

Ramshackle loves teh ladies and to let his nugget pouch sway in the breeze. I will come up to the maple leaf and party it up wit ya when we get back.

Rem,you are the cutiest guy in OUSSEP!! ^0^

You are the smartest person I've ever met when you're sober, but the craziest dumbass on this planet when you're drunk! :) I envy your memory for facts and quotes and all the politi-historical knowledge you have, and I have to say I enjoy being around that crazy dumbass as well! I just hope we can keep in contact after this and I too want to come and see you Canadian people wiggle your heads in your natural environment ;)
